MY THOUGHTS:
Leigh Henderson is happy as can be. Everything in her life is working perfectly for her and she is about to land the biggest deal ever. But then Rebecca Mayer arrives in the office with a former client list that goes on for miles. All of the sudden Leigh’s boss fires her and she is without a job. Just when she thinks things couldn’t get any worse, Leigh’s mom calls an emergency family meeting at the family cabin on Old Hickory Lake. Leigh hasn’t been in touch with her sister Meredith for years. And now Leigh has to find Meredith, convince her to meet at the family cabin, deal with the loss of her loving grandmother and hope that she doesn’t run into her old flame Colton Harris, whom she has never completely gotten over. Leigh couldn’t feel more hopeless or is she actually feeling hopeful?
This book was so beautifully written. It hit all the feels and also was filled with the hope of mending relationships. My heart was all a flutter with the romance at the lake. Jenny Hale has such an amazing way in describing the surroundings that immediately whisk you away. The hope and inspiration of this story will have you flying through the pages. This fast paced, wonderful and heartwarming story will have you reading from the opening of the cover to closing of the book in one sitting. I was so touched by this wonderful story, it is surely a favorite. This would make for an amazing movie. It was truly phenomenal, I loved it.
Thank you Jenny Hale for such a beautifully written story filled with inspiration and hope. This feel-good, small town romance, and escape to the lake was exactly what I needed. I loved it and I highly recommend it.

“When emerging into the world, a butterfly needs the struggle to push the fluid from its body into its wings. So essentially, without the struggle, it never flies.”
About to land her biggest deal yet, Leigh Henderson is on her game. Nothing can get in her way. Except Rebecca Mayer, who’d sashayed in a few weeks ago with a former client list that would fill the entire hallway to Leigh’s office. When her boss unexpectedly offers the deal to Rebecca and tells Leigh he’s letting her go, Leigh finds herself without a job.
But that’s the least of her worries.
Her mother has some news that will change everything. She’s asked Leigh and her sister Meredith to meet her at the family cabin on Old Hickory Lake. Not only has Leigh been unable to track down her sister for years, but going back to the cabin would mean dealing with the loss of her beloved grandmother and also chance running into her old flame Colton Harris, the one love she’s never been able to completely let go of.
Will confronting her grief, speaking to her estranged sister, and forcing herself to face the love she’d left behind help Leigh to learn who she really is?
A heartwarming story that will have you laughing, crying, and rushing to those you hold dear.If you loved the Christmas movies based on Jenny’s books and are looking for more feel-good, small-town romance, look no further!
