NEW DREAMS FOR THE VILLAGE NURSE

MY THOUGHTS:

Ottilie Oakcroft is so happy she chose to stay in the tiny village of Thimblebury and can’t imagine living anywhere else.  When Heath shows her that it’s ok to fall in love again and that she deserves a second chance at being happy.  But after meeting Heath’s ex-wife, things begin to feel uneasy.  When Ottilie meets Simon, a newcomer to the village of Thimblebury, Heath becomes very jealous.  Ottilie see’s a new side of Heath that she didn’t realize he had.  But as the romance between Ottilie and Heath continues to blossom and they learn more about each other, Ottilie knows she is right where she is supposed to be.

New Dreams for the Village Nurse, written by author Tilly Tennant is a wonderful and inspiring story.  I absolutely loved everything about this book, with the great characters and the beautiful description of the lovely little quaint village of Thimblebury. Tennant whisked me into the story from the very first page to the last.  This story is an unputdownable masterpiece that will probably be a reread for me.  It hits all the feels.  Do not pass up this sweet story and I suggest you start with the first book of this amazing series, because it is just as wonderful as this one.  I loved this ten star read and I highly recommend it.

NEW DREAMS FOR THE VILLAGE NURSE

Publication Date: July 29, 2024
Pages: 318

Escape to the glittering lakes and pretty stone villages of the Lake District, where warm bright summer evenings are just around the corner, the bees are buzzing in the hedgerows, and village nurse Ottilie Oakcroft is beginning to realise that her second chance at true love isn’t smooth sailing…

Ottilie Oakcroft can’t imagine living anywhere but the village of Thimblebury. Since moving there after her husband’s death, the villagers have welcomed her with open arms, and it’s been a long time since she’s felt this happy. Another reason for the sparkle in her eyes is her blossoming romance with Heath, who showed her that second chances at love can happen.

But when a chance meeting with Heath’s glamorous ex-wife Mila sparks a terrible argument between the pair, and with Ottilie’s patients keeping her too busy to repair the cracks in their relationship, things begin to feel a little shaky. Especially when Simon, a handsome new GP with dark eyes and broad shoulders, arrives in Thimblebury, and Heath shows a jealous side that Ottilie has never seen before…

Ottilie knows how lucky she is to have found Heath but when she discovers that Mila has been secretly visiting Thimblebury she fears the worst. Heath tries to reassure her but why did he keep Mila’s visits a secret? Did Ottilie make a mistake when she opened her fragile heart or is she letting the hurt from her past stand in the way of their future?

ABOUT TILLY TENNANT

Tilly Tennant was born in Dorset, the oldest of four children, but now lives in Staffordshire with a family of her own. After years of dismal and disastrous jobs, including paper plate stacking, shop assistant, newspaper promotions and waitressing (she never could carry a bowl of soup without spilling a bit), she decided to indulge her passion for the written word by embarking on a degree in English and creative writing. She wrote a novel in 2007 during her first summer break at university and hasn’t stopped writing since. She also works as a freelance fiction editor and part-time lecturer.

Hopelessly Devoted to Holden Finn was her debut novel; published in 2014 it was an Amazon bestseller in both the UK and Australia. In 2016 she signed to the hugely successful Bookouture and is currently working on her fifteenth Tilly Tennant novel. Christmas bestseller A Very Vintage Christmas has just been made into a movie for Lifetime Channel.

Tilly also writes young adult fiction as Sharon Sant.
