MURDER GOES SOLO

 MY THOUGHTS:

Piper Hayden is happy with her life in Cranberry Harbor, Wisconsin.  Music is her happy place.   She orders a brand new Steinway piano and it is scheduled to be delivered just hours before her recital.  But when the crate is delivered, it’s not the piano that is inside but the body of her ex-fiancĂ©.  Piper is the number suspect.  She must do everything she can to clear her name.  Her part in the recital is put on hold, and she must switch her focus to who murdered her ex.  Piper and her friends are on the case, but time is running out.  They must solve the murder before the murderer strikes again.

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery.  The characters are believable and relatable, the author does a great job of describing how they look along with their characteristics.  They were fun to read about and yet so quirky.  They sounded like a great group of friends and very different from each other.  I enjoy reading while listening to music and that added a little extra drama to this wonderful whodunnit. This is a wonderful start to a new cozy mystery series.  I was laughing out loud but I was also flying through the pages because I couldn’t wait to find out who the culprit was.  Don’t pass up this great story full of mystery and intrigue.  I highly recommend it.

Thank you Malissa Chapin for such a wonderful story.  This cozy mystery has a fantastic storyline.  I’m so happy that it is only the first installment to your new series.  I look forward to reading the next book.
