MY THOUGHTS:

Julian Fisher, novelist buys Farfield Castle and he wants to turn it into a writers’ retreat.  But the villagers wanted to buy the castle and keep it for themselves.  Julian throws a lavish party and invites all the villagers to attend.  He serves the very best food and treats the villagers like royalty.   Amateur sleuth Eve Mallow, wants to enjoy the party but hears a scuffle and recognizes the voice of Kitty, Julian’s wife arguing with some of the guests.  Not long after, Kitty’s body is found in the castle’s icehouse.  Eve jumps into action and begins to solve the case.  So many guests had motive but time is running out and she must work with Detective Palmer to find the killer, before the killer strikes again.

Mystery at Farfield Castle by author Clare Chase is a wonderful addition to the Eve Mallow Mystery Series.  This story was utterly entertaining and as soon as I had it all figured out, the twist happened.  I was completely surprised at the ending and I loved how captivating this story was.  This was one cozy mystery that kept me flying through the pages.  Each installment continues to be a delightful read, and keeps this series on my favorites list.   I loved it, and I highly recommend it.
