MY THOUGHTS:
Lauren Sutton is a wedding event planner. The wedding she is most looking forward to is her own. But when she loses her fiancé in an accident, she also loses her will to carry on her business. It is so difficult for her to plan everyone else’s happily-ever-after while she is grieving over the loss of her fiancé. Lauren decides that she needs to get away so she sells her half of her business and heads to Outer Banks. She decides to take a job taking care of an old Inn located in Rodanthe, North Carolina. The Inn is owned by Mary Everett, who is elderly and is having a difficult time keeping up with it. Lauren thinks the change will do her some good and help her to recover from her loss while helping her move past her grief. The change in scenery, the salty air and meeting new people is exactly what she needs. When she meets fisherman, Brody Harrison, her plans change once again.
The Magic of Sea Glass by Jenny Hale was absolutely magical. This uplifting and inspiring summer romance was more sweet than it was salty, and was an amazing escape. As I was whisked away to Rodanthe I felt the sea breeze in my hair and the warm sun on my face, while I listened to the waves lap the shore. It was a completely enjoyable beach read that MUST be at the top of your ‘to be read’ pile. This phenomenal novel was an inspiring, up-lifting and heart-warming story of new beginnings and second chances sprinkled with happiness and romance. I loved it and highly recommend it!!!

After the loss of her fiancé a year ago, event planner Lauren Sutton can't seem to go on with her choice of career or the life she'd built with her fiancé any longer. Floundering emotionally, she makes a snap decision to sell her half of the business and spend the summer among the sand dunes and changing tides of the Outer Banks, taking care of an old inn in Rodanthe, North Carolina with its elderly owner Mary Everett.
Perhaps the salty breezes of the Atlantic and the warmth of summer sun on her face will help her find her direction. What she doesn't expect to find is a story hidden away in a string of sea glass that will change her life forever.
And complicating things is local fisherman Brody Harrison. All she'd wanted was to sink her toes in the sand and let the coastal breeze calm her aching heart. But Brody shakes up her plan in ways she'd never imagined.
