TO BRAVE THE RIVER
Ryder Bennett, is looking forward to his wedding day, but is devastated when his fiancée confessed her love for someone else and revealed her intention to marry him. Heartbroken, Ryder wonders if he will ever find the happiness he yearns for in life.
Olivia Craig, a newcomer to the town, runs a coffee shop. When she first encounters Ryder, he appears cold and distant. However, beneath their icy exterior lies a subtle attraction between them. Olivia’s son, aspiring to be a cowboy, seeks Ryder’s guidance, and he takes him under his wing, teaching him the “cowboy way.” Ryder’s family and friends recognize Olivia as a blessing in his life and encourage him to acknowledge his feelings for her.
“To Brave The River” by Kristy Werner is an inspiring tale that weaves together themes of family, love, and faith. I thoroughly enjoyed the captivating storyline, which held my attention from the very first page to the last. This unputdownable read left a lasting impression on me. The author’s incorporation of the remarkable faith of the characters resonated deeply with me. The vivid descriptions of the town and the ranch transported me to a different world, making me feel as if I was right there with them.
Olivia and Ryder’s characters are delightful additions to the Hearts of Osage County series. This is the final installment in this remarkable trilogy. While the book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the first two books to fully appreciate the depth of the story. I thoroughly enjoyed this captivating tale and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an inspiring, heartwarming and faith filled read.
